A Little About Me (yawn)
I don't know what to say except that I have always LOVED Photography. I was a member of the Photography Club in High School, and I got my first REAL camera my Senior year...a completely manual Pentax MX. This particular camera forced me to use my brain (which I don't really like to do very often cus it hurts). In High School I also learned a lot about working in the darkroom, and enjoyed the artistic control I had over my photos. I couldn't afford to go to art school...I had my heart set on Parson's School of Design in Manhattan...but ended up at Brookdale Community College. I took all of the TWO Photography classes they offered, but that was not the place for me. So I spent almost 20 years bartending and goofing off!!!! Though I did take MANY, MANY pictures during that time!
I got serious about it again as I approached the milestone age of thirty~ten. That is when I started getting into digital. Then after that milestone birthday, we invested in a Canon 20D. This is the camera I use for the majority of my photos. Although I will still occasionally break out my 35mm Canon Rebel (film!), mostly for dramatic B&W shots.
I do have another passion...
screenwriting!!! I've completed three feature length screenplays, and have done
fairly well in several contests. I've also written many shorts.
Other than that I am kept extremely busy with my two beautiful kids and my wonderful hubby!!!!! I couldn't do anything without them...well, that's not true...I could probably do more...but I WOULDN'T WANT TO!!!!!!!!!!!
